Phosphotopia places great importance on protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we use it, and what your rights are. It complies with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Bill 25).

2. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary for the purposes described below:

  • Contact form: last name, first name, email address, and phone number.
  • Newsletter: email address, when you choose to subscribe.
  • Account creation and booking: last name, first name, mailing address, and payment information.

Payment information (bank card) is processed directly by our payment processor Stripe. Phosphotopia never has access to your complete card data and does not store it.

3. Purposes of Collection
We use your information to:

  • respond to your requests submitted via the contact form;
  • process your bookings and
  • manage your customer account;
  • collect payments related to your bookings;
  • send you our newsletter, if you are subscribed;
  • ensure the proper functioning, security, and improvement of our site.

4. Consent
By providing us with your information, you consent to its use for the purposes indicated in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time, particularly by unsubscribing from the newsletter or by contacting the person responsible mentioned in section 1.

5. Disclosure of Information to Third Parties and Outside Quebec
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us operate our site and services, and only to the extent necessary:

  • Stripe – payment processing;
  • DigitalOcean – hosting of our booking platform;
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager) – audience measurement and site analysis.

Some of these providers process data outside Quebec, particularly in the United States (for example, our booking platform is hosted in Broomfield, Colorado). Our website is hosted in Canada (Web Hosting Canada).

By using our site and services, you acknowledge that your information may be processed outside Quebec and subject to applicable laws there.

6. Cookies
Our site uses cookies, particularly through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, to measure site traffic and improve the experience. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies or be notified when they are placed. Refusing certain cookies may, however, limit some site features.

7. Retention of Information
We retain your personal information only for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as well as for the duration required by our legal obligations. Once these periods have elapsed, the information is destroyed or anonymized securely.

In accordance with Bill 25, you have the right to:

  • request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • request the portability of information you have provided to us;
  • file a complaint with the person responsible.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).

10. Intended Audience
Our site and services are intended for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may modify this policy from time to time. Any modification will take effect upon publication on our site. The effective date indicated at the top of the page reflects the most recent update.
